I have to agree with you. The way this was pushed though was such bull. Now some of these same reps and senators who gave 85 billion to AIG will not give one cent to the big 3 automakers, dispite that fact that 3 million jobs are on the line, as compaired to 50 or 60 thousand with AIG.

I have also been astonished at the rate of development and the rate of pre-sales. Downtown is certainly booming right now, but I fear a downtown bust on the horizon as well. What I wonder is what will the effects of a mini-market busy in downtown have on the rest of the city? We had a mini boom in central neighborhoods like Hyde Park and Brentwood recently, and now sales on the flips are stagnant.

You're doing a great job of explaining and interpreting the market!

Of course, I think we are all seeing timid buyers, eve in this market. In central Austin especially, it seems buyers are most comfortable in a seller's market when things are selling quickly.

Will it take us until the market shifts back to a seller's market to be comfortable buying again?

I'm looking to buy right now, and you'll see those properties for sale in 2-3 years!
